If you want to do more than just roll along, you will start collecting points at some point. The “global” points are only available during the season.
Only the “global” points count for the lanes and the Battle Royals for the ranking. Additionally the streamers can use “local leaderboards” with their own point distribution. This is often used to play out streamer-owned prizes (e.g. vouchers).
New in Season 46:
If a record is set on a track (does not apply to the first ride of a new track) there are more points than without a record. And the bigger the record is, the more relevant it is for the scoring.
For some time now, the parameters (also called “meta”) have been continuously modified slightly in order to keep the tension high as to which tracks will earn how many points. The basic parameters from Season 36 continue to serve as a basis.
New in Season 45:
The points from the races, lap races, Battle Royals AND new also from the Tilts to the Gemrons.
Therefore, you can now collect points quasi twice.
New in Season 36:
Points are now dependent on many factors:
- Running time of the track (the longer, the better)
- Number of marbles on the track
- marbles that fall off the track
- and some more…
This has led to some streamers now playing very long tracks with a medium/high elim rate. Some are even running 500-race tracks. With about 850 marbles, this led to more than 20,000 points on one track.
New from Season 34:
- 3rd place gets as many points as there were marbles on the track.
- 2nd place gets 50% more than 3rd place
- 1st place gets 200% of 3rd place
Old, up to and including Season 33:
- Points are awarded for each map
- The more marbles are on the track, the more points are given to the first place winners
- Also the number of first places increases with the number of participants
You can only collect the points if you still have energy. More info about that here…
Single maps: Points are distributed after each map.
Maximum points: Currently (Season 51), the highest point yield is apparently limited to 420,000 points. A lot has to come together to achieve this enormous number of points:
- World record on a very busy track (>1,500 plays)
- Significant improvement in time
- many marbles at the finish
- as few marbles as possible at the start (low marble bonus)
Big Load: Until Season 44, this was a special way to collect points. Since Season 45, you get almost no points because of the long lead time. As a result, this type of game has become uninteresting for marblers and streamers.
Grand Prix: Here you already get points after each track. At the total overview after the GP the points are shown added.
Tilt-Maps: Here, too, there are points after each marbled track – but since Season 39 in a separate tilt ranking. But the further the streamer gets, the more points there are. But these points do not count for the ranking of the “normal” lanes.
Ranking: By collecting points of the GPs and BRs you get your rank in the world ranking. Starting from rank 1,000, this is indicated by a number above the marbles.
Top10
The Top-10 of the ranking list get an additional effect as a special gimmick when their marble comes onto the track: it comes flying from outside as a “meteor”, makes the whole track shake, explodes with a roar and a cloud of smoke.
Points reset after each season
The points start again at “0” in each new season. So the race starts again every 4 weeks (the running time of the seasons is not always the same) and everyone has the same chances again.
Gemrons
However, the Gemrons will not be reset – they will continue to be collected.
Here you can learn what these Gemrons are.
Streamer-Points
Not only the players get points, but also the streamers – the so-called “Streamer XP”. This results in an own Top-100 rating for the streamers – also viewable in the app. The top 5 of each season get an emote for the next 2 seasons with which the other players can participate (Join-Emotes).
The hunt for the top-5 streamers around these emotes is partly characterized by peculiarities, which are shown by the fact that very often the same track is driven. Currently, the parameters used to calculate the streamer XPs are changed every Monday.
Some streamers therefore hide the played courses – why? You would have to ask the streamers…
Map-Builder-Points
The builders of community maps also get points. However, I do not have any information on how these are determined and what advantages they may bring.
